Prior to that, Ricky directed and shot And Uneasy Lies the Mind, the first feature film shot entirely on an iPhone, which screened at SXSW.
In 2015, Ricky's documentary Bayanihan: The Spirit of Community won Best Short Documentary at the Asian Film Festival.
Ricky was fortunate enough to spend five years traveling the world as a freelance director and cinematographer for The Salvation Army, where he had the opportunity to tell short stories and documentaries about homelessness, addiction recovery, domestic abuse, poverty, and disaster relief.
